Obituary of Everett John O'Connor
Everett John O’Connor passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on May 28, 2014. Born on January 24, 1932 in Goshen, NB he was a son of the late Harry and Theresa (Curran) O’Connor. Everett delivered milk in Rothesay, Quispamsis and St. Martins. He had a strong work ethic, he enjoyed gardening, golfing and picking fiddleheads. He also enjoyed making wine and baking bread. He was a devoted husband for over 50 years, beloved father and grandfather. He is survived by his children, Murray (Hillary), Sussex; Brent (Pamela) Hampton; Robert (Sherry) Rothesay; Gary (Kate), Oromocto; and Lana (Galen) Purcell, Magnolia, Delaware; grandchildren, Ryan (Sabrina), Tara (Andrew), Amelia, Amanda, Patrick, Caitlin, Austin, Bradley, Brittany, Meghan and Curtis; great grandchildren, Hillary, Morgan, Drew, Ryan; brothers, Walter O’Connor, Rhode Island; Raymond (Fran) O’Connor, Penobsquis; sisters, Stella (Gerry) Fogarty, Halifax; Rita Mullaney, Rhode Island; sister-in-law, Marg O’Connor, Saint John; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his beloved wife, Marion; brothers, Murray, Austin and Clement; sister, Ethel. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Sunday, June 1, 2014 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Holy Trinity Church, Rockland Road, Saint John, on Monday, June 2, 2014 at 11:00 am. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society, Alzheimer’s Society or any charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
