Obituary of A. Margaret Haynes
The death of A. Margaret Haynes, in her 95th year, of Saint John, occurred June 11, at the Loch Lomond Village, daughter of the late Alice and George Gibson. Before retirement in 1992, Margaret was very active in the Real Estate business and held an Honorary Lifetime Membership in the Saint John Real Estate Board. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Jarvis Bay Legion, Branch # 53, Simonds Lions Senior Citizen Club and CN Pensioners Association. Anglican by faith, and she was an active and faithful member of All Saint’s Anglican Church, East Saint John. Margaret devoted her life to her family and will be greatly missed by one son, Ronald Dykeman (Isabel), one daughter Marilyn Bernier, 2 granddaughters, Lisa Floyd (Derrick), Michelle Comeau (Steve), Saint John and one grandson Mark Bernier, Petawawa, Ontario, three great grandchildren, Ryan Floyd, Kristen Floyd and Jordyn Comeau Predeceased by husbands Russell A. Dykeman and Floyd S. Haynes; son, Robert Dykeman; son-in-law Edward Bernier. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Sunday, June 15, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held at the chapel of Brenan’s on Monday, June 16, 2014 at 10:00 am. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remeberances to the local chapters of the Heart and Stroke Foundation and the Canadian Cancer Society will be appreciated by the family. We would like to say a special thank you to the Loch Lomond Villa/Village for the wonderful care given to our Mom and Grandmother.
