Obituary of John Gordon Wilfred Carr

The death of John Carr of Saint John, N.B., husband of Diane (Cox) Carr, occurred unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 2, 2004 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, he was a son of Roy Carr and the late Margaret Doreen (McKinnon) Carr. Formerly employed at the Dry Dock, Ocean Steel and the South End Tennant's Association, John organized, with his wife Diane, the first ball hockey association in Saint John. Besides his wife and father, he is survived by his son J. Scott Carr and daughter Stacey Carr, both of Saint John, and by brothers Gerald and Terry and sisters Judy and Vicki, all of Saint John, as well as by three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, N.B. (634-7424) with visiting on Thursday, November 4 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Brenan's Chapel on Friday, November 5, 2004 at 3:15 p.m., with interment to take place at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice.
