Obituary of B. Joan Mason
The death of Joan Mason occurred on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born October 21, 1940 in Saint John, she was a daughter of the late Clifford and Elizabeth Day. Joan enjoyed gardening, and loved having her lobster on special occasions. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, and she will be deeply missed by them all. Joan is survived by her sons, Wayne (Sharon) Wilson and Brian (Phyllis) Wilson; daughter, Mary Wilson; her nephew, Jimmy (Irene), whom she thought of as her own son; grandchildren: John, Jamie, Brice, Karyln, Timmy, and Mike; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary (Vernon) and Jean Ann (Ricky); several cousins, nieces, and nephews; and Cuddles. The family would like to thank the Department of Social Development for all their help in caring for Joan throughout her illness. Your kindness will not be forgotten. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Friday, January 30, 2015 from 1 to 3 pm. A private family service will be held at a later time. Interment will take place in St. Thomas Cemetery in Black River in the Spring. Remembrances to the Saint John SPCA- Animal Rescue or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. www.brenansfh.com
