Obituary of F. Evelyn MacDonald
The death of Mrs. F. Evelyn (MacSween) MacDonald, wife of the late Rev. James G. (Sonny) MacDonald, occurred on Monday, February 3, 2003 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Sydney, NS she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Frances (MacRae) MacSween and step-mother Nora MacSween. Evie was a member of Quispamsis United Church and their U.C.W. She is survived by two sons James (Lynn) of Quispamsis and Scott (Sandra) of Saint John, four daughters Marilyn (Jacques) LeBlanc, Cathy (David) MacDonald both of Halifax, NS, Susan (Kirby) Gesner of Quispamsis and Bonnie MacDonald (Doug Gaunt) of Calgary, Alberta, three sisters Helen (Wilfred) Reid of Sydney, NS, Brenda (Eric) Clark of Halifax, NS and Louise Dansereau of Texas, U.S.A. ten grandchildren Adam, Jamie, Jennifer, Brent, Michael, James, Matthew, Robert, Hannah and Emma, several nieces and nephews. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424) with visiting on Tuesday, February 4, 2003 from 2-4 PM. The Funeral service will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 4, 2003 from the Quispamsis United Church at 7PM with reception to follow. There will be visiting from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Thursday, a service will be celebrated on Friday, February 7, 2003 at 11:00 am from St. Andrews United Church in Sydney, NS. Interment in Oakfield Cemetery, Hillside Mira, NS. Remembrances may be made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation, Quispamsis United Church Memorial Fund or the charity of the donor's choice. www.brenansfh.com
