Obituary of L.J. James Williamson
The death of Mr. L. J. "James" Williamson, of Saint John, husband of Ethel D. (Walker) Williamson, occurred on Wednesday, February 12, 2003, at his residence. Born in Aberdeen, Scotland, he was the son of the late Luigi and Rossi M.S. (Amabile) Giulianotti. Mr. Williamson was a Musician and had been employed with Long and McQuade in Toronto, where he managed their Percussion Department, until his retirement. He was a veteran of World War II, serving overseas with the Canadian Army in Canada, Britain and Continental Europe, before his discharge with exemplary conduct. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Louis of Victoria, BC and Charles of Saskatchewan, one step-son, John Walker and his wife Linda and their sons, Jeffrey (Beth) and Jason (Elizabeth), all of Saint John, two daughters Eileen Harvey of Dartmouth, NS and Annette Williamson of Toronto, ON, one sister, Linda Smith of Nottingham, England, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home Chapel, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), on Friday, February 14, 2003 at 10:00 AM. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
