Bart,,John, Beth, Hannah, and Richard
The neighbourhood only looks the same! (except for Bart's jag!!!) So many memories of your sweet mum flood my thoughts. She would appear at our back door with the latest prize winning childrens literature.and music tapes. She knew the free activities that were taking place uptown. One time she took up a collection in the neighbourhood for Dan when he was competing in the Canada Games in Regina..Your mum was caring.. I remember too the block party she organized in the backyard..She was a true neighbour and we were fortunate to have lived next door. Please accept our sincere condolences.

My sincere sympathy.Joanne was an enthusiastic and joyful support to Early French Immersion in Saint John. She would arrive at parent meetings with a bag of cookies and real zest for the next challenges. Her contribution is memorable.

I was very sad to hear about Jo Anne. She was a lovely person with such a wealth of knowledge and a "go-to" source of information for many, many things. The students from Prince Charles School who took part in the Art Curating program that Jo Anne organized at 300 Union learned so much from her, whether organizing and displaying the student art work, or visiting art galleries and artist studios, Jo Anne brought great enrichment to their lives. They loved it!
Please accept my sincere condolences, Bart and family. I think of Jo Anne often.

memories of Joanne -
I still have her reviews of long past shows....
later, we connected for conversations and dinners - her intelligence, respect, ongoing attention and care for her family; her intrepid culinary feats!
as health issues intervened - Jack and I admired the dignity of her acceptance, her unfailing trust in Bart.
Joanne was a fine and accomplished person. My condolences to her family.

I never met Jo Anne, but was greatly appreciative of her coverage of the arts many years ago. I am grateful to her for writing about my art in 1991 for the Evening Times Globe (St. John, NB). My condolences to her family and friends. - Terry Graff

Neil and I worked with JoAnne on the board of Stewards and Official Board of the church and she was a tireless worker and full of ideas. What I will remember most about her though is her beautiful speaking voice. When she was called upon to read scriptures or minute for mission her voice was soft, her diction perfect and the pitch was very pleasing. You'd think that would cause the congregation to zone out but in fact it commanded attention.
She and Bart made a well rounded team of gifts and talents and when you would see them together, you could understand why "their" hymn was number 333 in VU.
Rest well JoAnne - you have earned it.
