My sincere condolences to Nancy's family and friends! I met Nancy in 1984 when I starting working as a nurse at Saint Joseph's Hospital. An amazing, caring head nurse. Over the years I would catch up with her on occasion as she was walking uptown or via a Christmas card. Nancy will be missed!

To Nancy's family and many friends- I was very saddened to learn of her passing. She has been a family friend for many years, having trained with my aunts and worked with them as well. I would often run into her here and there and we would "catch up" with family news.. She was indeed a kind, knowledgeable, and dedicated nurse/friend/human being. The world needs more "Nancy"s.

To the family and many friends of Nancy: , I am so sorry to hear of Nancy's passing. The world was a better place with her in it. Nancy was the kindest, most generous person. A dedicated Head Nurse arriving on the floor at 6:30 in the morning to check the charts before report thus keeping on top of things. She made a point of visiting each and every patient to see how they were doing taking the time to listen to their concerns . You know the old saying I would give yo the shirt off my back, That was our Nancy Those of us that worked on 5th floor were family. I shared many a Christmas card with Nancy each one had a note asking about the family and sharing what was going on with her. All notes would end with take care. It was a pleasure and a privilege to have known and worked with Nancy, May she rest in peace. God Bless! Ann McKinney

With deepest sympathy to Nancy's family and friends.
I knew Nancy through Sea Belles where she was always kind and helpful. She always wanted to step back from the limelight when praise was due her.
She sent the kindest, most beautiful card when I was having a difficult time with the loss of family members. She was truly a loving and caring individual.
As may be seen from the other comments, Nancy was one of a kind who will be fondly remembered by all who were blessed to know her.

Nancy was my first Head Nurse as a new graduate. This was at St Joe's OBS &GYN. How fortunate myself and many others were to learn from such a wonderful person who cared for each of us in her kind and thoughtful way. She always knew exactly what care the patients needed and supported each health care worker to deliver quality care.
Nancy will live on in our hearts. We are blessed to have known her. Blessings to Nancy's Family as you grieve Nancy's passing.

To all of Nancy's family and close friends,
Namcy was my head nurse when I graduated in 1979. She was the most amazing person and nurse. I always felt blessed to have had her guidance ,support, and friendship. Her staff and patients were her top priority always.
I remember fondly one particular Christmas we worked together. Nancy made it so special for all of us and the patients. It turned out to be a very special day and we often talked about it years later. I cannot say enough about the impact she had on my life. She taught by example. I will miss your Christmas card each year and talks. Rest in peace my friend.
I send my deepest sympathy to you , her family and friends.

Knowing Nancy as a SeaBelle friend will always bring a smile to me - lots of fun. I reminded her that she was my nurse when my first baby was born. She said, "How could you remember me?" - I said, "Your quiet voice and gentle care." Nancy continued that care with people she met as she walked every day in town. She was a gem! God Bless you, Nancy, as you sing with the Angels. -- Marlene Ross

I knew dear Nancy through my late Aunt Joan. I recall one Christmas Eve, they spent the night at my parents house. There had been a major snowstorm overnight. The taxis were not running. So, they came up with the idea to call a police car to take them to work on Christmas Day.
As children we thought that was so funny!
Later both Nancy and Joan were my nurses at the delivery of my two eldest daughters
Nancy’s kindness and skill will always be remembered!
Rest In Peace sweet Nancy

My sincerest condolences on the death of dear Nancy. I was a little girl who lived across the street from the St. Joseph’s Nurse’s Residence while Nancy was in training. I would visit the girls, often bringing them baked goods from my mother’s kitchen. What a wonderful caring person I met in Nancy and we continued our friendship through the years. A better nurse could not be found. Rest In Peace Nancy, you fulfilled your vocation with excellence.
