Obituary of Mary Carolyn Dickison
It is with great sadness that the family of Mary Carolyn Dickison announces her passing which occurred on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at her residence. Born in Saint John, NB on November 6, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Edith (Galley) Dickison.
Mary is survived by her daughters: Tammy, Kim, Crystal (Jeffrey) and Karen (Kevin). Stepchildren: Roger, Tina ,Balinda and Manda. Sisters: Carol, Jackie, Lois and Barb. Brother: Douglas (Noel). Grandchildren: Shane, Claude, Antonia, Tyler, Krystie (Brittany), Keith, Christopher, Antonio, Jason, Michael, Victoria, Gabriella, Pam (Trevor), Cara, Trevor, Nelson, Skylar and Amanda (Erik). Great-grandchildren: Theo, Sofia, Luca, Addison, Seth, Cooper, Zachary, Jahnee, Jordee, Matteo, Ethan, Sophia, Owen, Avery, Destiny-Luv, Karmen, Alainna-Skye, Valerie, Isaiah, baby Maleek (on the way), baby Issac (on the way), as well as Krystie & Brittany’s baby boy Hellingwerf (on the way). Step-grandchildren: Alex, Bridgette, Charlotte, Soleil, Dylan, Taylor, Caleb, Mikki-Linda and Brayden. Special niece: Lori. Special nephews: Andrew and Brandon. Several other nieces and nephews. Special friends: Daryl Ritchie Jr, Sandy Ritchie, John Meinherdt and Daryl Ritchie Sr.
In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by her siblings: Edith, Marilyn, Joan, Jean, Bobby, Stanley, Gordon “Gordie”, Percy and Albert. Granddaughter, Jodi; Nephews: Robert Jr, Raymond, Glenn, Kevin, Mickey and Wayne.
Mary worked in private care for over 30 years. She enjoyed playing darts, bingo with her sisters, scratch tickets, crafts, baking with her grandchildren, walks, and interior decorating. She will be missed by all of those who knew her.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). With visitation on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held from The Brenan’s Chapel on Thursday, August 18, 2022, beginning at 2:00 PM. Those unable to attend are welcome to view the service via livestream.
