Obituary of Candace Dureen Garnett
It is with great sadness that the family of Candace Dureen Garnett announces her passing which occurred on Monday, August 22, 2022, at her home. Born in Saint John, New Brunswick on May 21, 1948, she was the daughter to the late John and Carol Harvey.
Candace is survived by her loving partner Gary Power; daughters; Tanya Bowe (David), and Cynthia Dunbar (Kevin); sons; James Howlett (Barbra) and Paul Howlett (Lisa); step-daughters; Tara Parlee, and Krista Bastarache; stepson; Shane Power; brothers James Harvey (Crystal) and Jason Harvey; sisters; Roxann Palmer (Jamie), Susan Muise (Ray), and Andrea Bunce (Frank); grandchildren; Melissa, Michelle, Andrew, Miranda, Jacob, Kalob, Kristin, Tia, Emily, and Matthew; Step grandchildren; Tyler, Phoenix, Brooklyn, Kamden, Harper, and Jackson; and several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Douglas Garnett, brothers; John Harvey Jr. and Jole Harvey; and sister Christine Harvey.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). A Funeral Liturgy will be held on Friday, August 26, 2022, at 10 AM in the Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. A Reception will take place after the service with interment to follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Candace’s memory can be made to the Ridgewood Addiction Services or Diabetes Canada. For those who wish, condolences may be made by visiting www.BrenansFH.com.
