My deepest sympathy to Vera’s family. I treasure my memories of meeting with her and receiving letters from her while I worked with the Kindness Club. What a wonderful lady she was - kindness personified! She did so much for so many people, both adults and children, as well as animals in Saint John. May she Rest In Peace.

Our whole family has such wonderful memories of Mrs. Hutt and all of her loving and thoughtful gestures over many decades and generations. She was a faithful and treasured friend and has made such a positive impact in the lives of all she knew. We will always remember her welcoming and warm nature, her ready smile and laughter and her many kind words and gestures. Sending our thoughts and prayers to all of her family - thank you for sharing your incredible mom, grammie and great-grammie with all of us. Love and prayers from Cyndi, Michael and family.

I am seriously disappointed. Barbara, you probably don't remember me, but I was one of the 'flock.' A little group of us that gathered at your place, to share kindness. Over a decade ago I reached out to find out if your mother was still alive, I'd been told then, incorrectly of course, that she had already passed. I wanted to meet her, talk to her, thank her for being so kind and for teaching me the value of kindness. Not only did she preach it, she practiced it. It is one thing to give away money, it is something all together different when you donate your time. Wow! The resume. No paid jobs after the military, that I can see. Not about what she could get, it was about what she could give. I will be forever grateful for all that she shared with me and our little group. I hope we've done you proud; because you sure did that for us.

I first met Vera when we immigrated as a family of 4 to Saint John over 40 yrs ago.
My daughter (7 y.o.) was not into sports or crafts but she did love animals so when I learned that Vera was looking for volunteers to help canvas for the Kindness Club, I took her to meet Vera outside City Hall where they had a donation can to collect funds one Saturday morning.
That was the beginning of a long association with Vera and the Kindness Club. We always enjoyed the lively Christmas parties that Vera held in her home for Members, with a delicious luncheon and fun games to play.
Tina was also involved in the Newsletter for a time. When Tina became a Dog Groomer, Vera arranged for her dog to be groomed by Tina and at times I would take her dog back home.
Vera was a lovely, friendly person and I am sure will be missed by all her followers. A life well-lived.
Rest in Peace Vera.
Val Stone.

I will always treasure the years that I have had Vera as my client. She was much more than a client, she was a friends. Doing her hair was the highlight of my day. She told me stories of the war, and her family. She was truly loved by many and she will be missed. My deepest condolences.
