Gerry, Allison, and William, my deepest sympathy on Ann’s death to you and your family.
I had the privilege to meet Ann several years ago through our interest in art and heritage. At the time, I was hoping to improve the “story telling” and the visitor experience at our provincial historic sites, and when I shared my vision to Professor Lowe, she kindly accepted to help us. She was fully dedicated, building binders, proposing wonderful trainings to our staff. And she did that with style, always smiling, so polite and helpful to our students.
Ann was so knowledgeable, and her passion to travel and discover the world raised the bar of our projects at a level we could not expect. Ann's interest, enthusiasm and hard work will always be remembered and appreciated. She sparked an interest in many people and artists, including Anthony Flower, William Cornelius Van Horne, and of course Oscar Peterson!
May she Rest in Peace.

Gerry and Allison, my deepest sympathy on Ann’s death. Ann was so outgoing, sunny, smart - as a child, a teacher, and a leader. And she had style! No surprise she volunteered as docent at the Beaverbrook. What I will always remember is how good that team of 4 Lowe’s on Broad were to one another. May she Rest In Peace.
Sincerely,
Anne Marie McGrath

Gerry and Allison,
I met Ann a number of years ago through our interest in art ; she was so knowledgeable about the Gallery in Fredericton, and was always so polite and helpful to visitors. I'm sure she sparked an interest in many people of the various artists who had paintings there.
Ann also was close to her mother and would share funny tales with her friends of trips to Florida. She will be remembered for her gentleness as well as her humor .
My sincere condolences, Muriel Flood

So sorry to hear about Ann's death and her illness but reading about her sparked a memory for me.
She was Miss Lowe, one of my teachers at Forest Hills School in about 1968. She had just been to Guatemala and told us colourful stories about her trip. She brought souvenirs to class and brought Guatamala alive to a room full of kids who had never heard of it.
This was one of those magical teaching moments that stays with you forever. I don't remember what subject she taught us but I still think of her whenever I hear anything about Guatamala. I wish I'd had a chance to tell her what a lasting impression she made. Wendy Smith, Rothesay.

On behalf of Queens County Heritage, Gagetown, our condolences to dear Ann's family. A tireless advocate for art, culture and heritage, Ann's interest, enthusiasm and hard work will always be remembered and appreciated. Without, Ann, we would know very little about one of her many passions, the life and art of Anthony Flower. On a personal note, I miss our conversations, her keen intellect, hearing of her varied travels, and sharing the discoveries of the remarkable career of the person - Anthony Flower - that influenced Ann's life, and mine, over the last 20 years. Sincerely, Bruce Thomson, President, Queens County Heritage

I took several courses from Ann Lowe at UNB in the early 90s, worked as her teaching assistant for a couple of semesters, and she supervised my student teaching. I think it's fair to say she was the single biggest influence on my training as a home economics teacher. For the past seventeen years I have taught Culinary tech in the same kitchen where she taught at Simonds, and even today I quite often think, "How would Ann Lowe have done this?", as I reflect on my experiences and plan student activities. She was a great teacher and set the bar high! My condolences to Ann's family and friends.

I have fond memories of Ann. We were fellow students from grades 1-8 at St John the Baptist school in the south end. Ann, along with Nancy King, and April Mills were the class stars, all very talented. Ann was clearly very smart and a teachers favourite...and I remember being a little jealous. I'm not surprised she did so well in life.
My condolences to her family.

To Ann’s Family, please accept my sincere condolences in the recent death of Ann. It has been years since I have seen Ann; we used to both serve as educators at Simonds High School, and she was part of the impressive trio of Home Economics teachers at the time - Barb Lordly, Ann Wade and Ann Lowe. Only one of the trio remains- Ann Wade.
Ann was a leader and full of ideas regarding how to improve the programme and student experiences . She had a full and interesting life after retiring from public education. She will be missed, along with her wonderful smile.
We will remember her.
