Obituary of Corrine Kennedy
With heavy hearts, the family of Corrine Kennedy announce her passing on Sunday, September 18, 2022, at St. Joseph’s Hospice, in London, ON. Born June 21, 1918, in Saint John, she was a daughter of the late James L. and Ann A. (Fitzgerald) McGrath.
Corrine will be deeply missed by her son, James Kennedy (Kate Montgomery); granddaughter, Kristen Kennedy (Rick Mitchinson); great-grandson, Jack Cole Mitchinson; niece, Maura Ann Hazen; nephews: Jim Murphy, Kevin Murphy, Peter Murphy, and Sean Murphy.
Besides her parents, Corrine was predeceased by her husband, T. James J. Kennedy; and her sister, Eleanor Murphy.
Her quiet strength came from the power of prayer and was always available to those needing a friendly ear.
The family would like to take this opportunity to express their gratitude to the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospice for their compassion and care of Corrine in her final days. You went above and beyond, and your professionalism and kindness will not be forgotten.
Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, September 26, 2022, at 12:10 pm from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
