Dear Family of Brenda
I simply do not know how to express how heartbroken I am to hear that Brenda has passed. Brenda and I worked together on the Executive of NBARA for years. But more than that - she became a friend. She has truly been one of the most influential people in my life as far as advocating for those who require it. We shared many stories and many laughs over the years. Even after she retired, she would call me just to chat and catch up. She would always say "Hey Lorri, It's me, Little Brenda". The world is a little darker without her in it. I sincerely want you all to know that she captured a piece of my heart and I offer you all my deepest sympathy.

Norma & families - We are very sorry to read of Brenda's passing. Quite a gal as I read her obituary and learned of how she helped so many people. She reconnected me with Frank the summer of '62 at the KBM - Thank you Brenda! I remember when I was young, you and your family lived on Lawrence St., my family and I on Windsor - then many years later, your Mom & Dad moved to Martinon - they were on Curtis - my next street neighbours, once again. God Bless You All with sweet memories of Brenda ---- Marlene & Frank Ross

To members of the Seeley Family: Your mom was a true champion for the underdog. She was and always remembered for a true champion. When things had to be changed Brenda was the one who got it moving. The Handi Bus was her biggest accomplishment for those who needed a way to get around. She also did things for people that left a lasting impact. She held many hands and wasn't afraid to roll up her sleeves and that shes gone we must hold her memories in our hearts. Rest Brenda until we meet again. J.J.

My sincere condolences to Brenda’s family and friends. I’ve known Brenda since the mid-90s and seen her impact in the community, especially for those who have little to no voice. Her steadfast leadership helped Independence Plus, Handibus and other community stakeholders overcome many challenges in the 90’s and 2000’s.
I am forever, grateful to have known, and worked with her, and also to be able to see her again recently.
Brenda definitely left her mark in the city of Saint John and on those who knew her.

We were saddened to hear of Brenda's passing. She was a pillar in the community for those that needed support. Every time we would talk I'd be in awe of what she was doing and how she was impacting the community. She was a quiet soul and I do not think we realize the impact she had on so many lives. She will be missed by many. Our sincere condolences to her family and friends.

I was so sorry to get the news from Norma that our dear Brenda had passed. Although life had taken me far and wide from St. John, all the people who were there for me during my first 11 years are in my heart and on my mind. I still have a picture on display of IBrenda, Norma and me standing on a snow mound in back of her house on Lawrence Street with our shovels and as many clothes as we owned for the winter. I spent every summer camping with "The Seeleys". Since I was an only child I don't know what I would have done if it wern't for Norma and Branda". I will never forget walking home in the winter from our outdoor skating rink by our Beaconsfield school, past the cemetary. One evening after skating, Branda yelled out "a ghost, a ghost" and off we took running as fast as we could and dragging her youngest sister, Bev. When we finally got home, sure enough, they had found there was a man popping out from behind the headstones. We laughed and cried and had the absolute most wonderful childhood any child could ask for. Thank you , Brenda, for taking me in as your family ,you will be with me always.
