Obituary of Milton Leroy Hinds
HINDS: Milton Leroy
It is with great sadness that the family of Milton Hinds announce his passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital on October 25, 2022. Born in Saint John on August 18, 1939, he was the son of the late Hazen and Bertha Hinds (nee Cheeseman).
Throughout his working years Milton was employed by Lantic Sugar, beginning in 1959, until retirement. He was a member of the Hampton Golf Club; he enjoyed golf, playing cards and gardening. A man with a fantastic sense of humour, Milton will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his only brother Wesley Hinds.
Milton is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years Norma Jean (nee Chapman), his brother-in-law Dwight Chapman, his nephews and their families, his sister-in-law Marilyn Hinds, Janet and Jeffrey, as well as a very special nephew Matthew (Sarah) Chapman and his darling three princesses Grace, Hilary, and Nora whom he loved so dearly.
His best canine friend Charlie was forever by his side.
A very special thank you to Gail Brown, and Sue and Joe McNulty for their kindness, compassion, and support. Also, a special thanks to Dr. Will O’Brien for his support and care through the years.
There will be no visitation or funeral service, in keeping with Milton’s wishes. Arrangements entrusted to Brenan’s Funeral Home (634-7424).
Donations in Milton’s memory may be made to the New Brunswick Heart Centre or a charity of the donor’s choice. Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.BrenansFH.com.
