Obituary of Nancy Louise Parker
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Nancy Parker, wife of the late Walter Parker, on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at her residence in the Church of St. John and St. Stephen Home, Inc. Born November 6, 1946, in Saint John, she was a daughter of the late Florence and Harold Lawrence.
Nancy is survived by her daughters, Robyn Parker of Calgary and Heather Parker of North York; grandchildren: Jesse, Madison, Heidi, Kaya, and Natalya; great-grandchildren, Elsie and Claire; sisters, Anne Lynn Ittner (Mark) of Hubert, NC, and Lorraine Garnett (Jody) of Calgary; brother, Harold Lawrence (Val) of Calgary; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Nancy will be remembered for her quick wit,sense of humour, jokes and love of life. Nancy gave back to her community by volunteering at the In from the cold homeless shelter. Nancy loved to play darts,pool , participate in card tournaments and shopping. She loved going on family vacations, especially when the grandkids came along.
For those who wish donations in memory of Nancy may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Heart&Stroke Foundation of Canada or the SJSPCA.
Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424). A Celebration of Nancy’s Life will take place in the spring, with interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
