Dear Aunt Ruth, Cousin Charlie, Cousin Lisa, and grandchildren,
We are very sorry to hear of Uncle Charlie’s passing. Our hearts go out to you. We sailed with Uncle Charlie the last time we were with him. He was always the calming voice of reason during the chaos of a spinnaker set or bad tactical decision. Please know that while we cannot be there in person we are with you in spirit and grieving with you.
With All Our Love,
Evan and Cindy Sullivan

Again, we send our condolences to you Ruth and your family. I will always remember Charlie’s sweet smile and his unassuming way at the bridge table. Charlie had “the goods” when playing a hand of bridge and I always enjoyed playing cards with him.
Charlie is at peace now and will forever be in your hearts.
Unfortunately we can’t attend the visitation tomorrow as I have cataract surgery scheduled for the afternoon.

Dear sweet Uncle Charlie. My deepest condolences to Aunt Ruth, cousins Charlie and Lisa and to extended family. So many fond memories of family time/dinners on Birch Grove and of swimming and sailing at Acamac over the years. Lisa and I will always remember our sailing trips with Uncle Charlie as his "excellent crew"!! I'm sure he wouldn't have wanted anyone else on board. :)
Love to you all, Margot

My Uncle Charlie was a lot like my father, both kindhearted, hardworking, gentlemen and sportsmen. When I look back on all my time with them I cannot recall them ever raising their voice at me such was their patience and care...
No, that is not true, during sailing and curling there were many emphatic loud words!
