Obituary of Helen Patricia Donaldson
Donaldson: Helen Patricia (nee Kane)
The death of Helen Patricia (nee Kane) Donaldson occurred on December 23rd, 2022, at the Kiwanis Nursing Home in Sussex, NB at the age of 91 years.
Helen was born in Saint John, NB on May 22nd, 1931. She was the daughter of the late Harold and Jennie Kane. She married Ronald Raymond Donaldson August 13th, 1956, and they had three sons. Helen grew up in Saint John, completed her training as a legal secretary and worked for a time before and during her marriage. She enjoyed travelling with Ronnie, flower & vegetable gardening, baking, sewing and crafts. She was recently predeceased by Ronnie, her husband of 66 years on November 25th, 2022.
She is survived by her three sons, Raymond (Wanda), Mike (Viola) and Andy (Cindy), 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by sisters, Normie and Betty, and her brothers, Harold and "Bussie" (Raymond).
Arrangements are under the care of Brenan's Funeral Home (634-7424), 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB. A Funeral Service will be held for Helen and Ronnie at Brenan's Chapel on May 12th, 2023, at 2:00pm with interment following at the Rothesay Baptist Cemetery. A reception will follow the interment at the Q-Plex.
