I was fortunate to work with Dwight for a number of years at the community college and to encounter him a number of times after his retirement as he pursued his calling in the church, He was a warm and caring person who was a pleasure to know.

My thoughts and prayers are with you Jennifer, Joel, Gail, grandsons and family as you say goodbye to a wonderful husband, dad, grandfather, father-in-law, friend, pastor….
I remember Dwight’s care and thoughtfulness as my husband Douglas and I arrived to serve at St. James Lakewood. Dwight made sure everything was completed in the rectory so we would be comfortable. We shared a delightful friendship with he and Carol over our years there and after we moved west as well. Dwight loved being out in God’s creation, sharing time with his grandson, kayaking. Dwight was a very faithful servant of God and his zeal for the Gospel was so encouraging. I look fondly at Dwight’s recipe for his Wicky Wacky Turkey casserole which he shared with us on many occasions.
Dwight has joined the heavenly host and as Psalm 16 tells us-“in Jesus’s presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”. May the thought of Dwight enjoying those pleasures be a comfort to your aching hearts right now.

Jennifer, Joel, Gail and families,
Dwight was truly a man after God's heart. After so many years of service to students at NBCC, Dwight then leaned even deeper into the Lord's calling and His service to others. Dwight took the Great Commission as seriously as anyone I know. His passing is a huge loss for the wonderful people of Christ the King Church and many more. He and Carol were good friends with our parents and he made a point of keeping in touch with Dad after Mum passed away. We cherished his reverence in all his dealings with all peoples. May all of you hold onto the wonderful and blessed moments you had with him over the years. He will be sorely missed. Grief is a very heavy burden to bear; however, it is made bearable through our faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, so lean into Him for comfort and support. Our heartfelt condolences to all of you.

Jennifer and Joel, so sorry to hear about your dad's passing. The very fondest memories of your parents living behind my mom (Beatrice McIntyre). They were excellent neighbours to our mom, sharing books, food and helping shovel her out when needed. You were lucky to be raised by such caring parents. Again, sorry for your loss.

I had the good fortune of attending Teachers' College with Dwight. Kept in touch over the years and admired his substantive teaching career, and even his career as an Anglican priest. Delighted to have taught his son, and know he is in the mold of his father.

Although I wasn't a close personal friend, I remember Dwight from my many years at NBCC SJ. As accountant, I had the opportunity to chat with Dwight about far more than "accounting things". I always found him an inquisitive and gentle person. He will surely be missed by those close to him.

Please accept our sincere condolences for your great loss. We missed his company when we moved to St. Stephen. He and I worked together at NBCC for 28 years, and then we shared the same church for 10 or more. Roger accompanied him on the Honduran missions, and we both enjoyed his company at St. James (as it was then called). He was always one to see the positive side of things and maintained calm in any conflict. His sense of humor was one of his many gifts and will be sorely missed. We will remember him as a great friend and guiding light.

Jen, Joel, Gail, and Family: We are very saddened to hear of Dwight’s passing. Although we can’t be there to support you in person, our thoughts and hearts are with you all during this difficult time. Dwight has always had an enormous place in my life as a mentor, an inspiration, and a very dear friend. His commitment to lifelong education was an inspiration to me to attend university and to continue being academically curious in the years since. Our time spent together at the cottage on Deer Island, exploring the beach and on fishing trips, laid the foundation for my career studying the environment and aquatic science. My fondest memories of growing up are the time we spent together, Dwight’s witty sense of humour, fried dough, and summer evenings spent playing trivial pursuit. Dwight always encouraged me to yell out the answers, often to the annoyance of our parents who just wanted the game to end. These few words in a short paragraph can never fully describe the influence he has had on me and I will always carry his memory, his advice, and his inspiration with me. He was a great role model who has sculpted the best of who I am today. Although he will be missed, we will carry his spirit forward in all of our lives. Our love and thoughts are with you all. Brian and Melissa
