Renaud, Jacques Emile - “Did It My Way”
With his loving family by his side, Jacques (JR), passed peacefully at home on Jan 16th, 2023. Born in Montreal, QC on March 3, 1943, he was the son of the late Roger and Gabrielle (Damarais) Renaud.
Jacques leaves behind his daughters, Tina Worden (Scott) and Tammy Roy; grandchildren Michelle (Matt), Mark (Mariah), Ashley. His chosen grandchildren Debbie (Carl), Sara (Matt), Mike Jr (Haley); great-grandchildren Sierra and Athena; chosen great-grandchildren Emma, Maddie, Marshall, and Mikey; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Jacques was pre-deceased by his beloved wife of 47 years, Diane (Burns); infant daughter Michelle; Brother and Sisters; Son-in-law Mike Roy.
He had a fondness for all animals, enjoying time spent with Milo, Millie, Tassie and his Baby Girl. He enjoyed watching animal videos, especially Khanyisa the elephant. He was passionate about his Montreal Canadiens and loved to watch hockey games and Wrestling. His room was always decked out in Habs colors and pictures.
Jacques worked for many years with the Labourers Union. He enjoyed volunteering, having dedicated over 30 years to the Saint Martins Fire Department. He also volunteered with Saint Martins Lions Club, Old Home Week Committee, coaching youth baseball and hockey.
Jacques spent a lot of time wood working, a hobby he truly enjoyed and was talented at.
The family would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses and all the caring staff of Maple House at Loch Lomond Village and Dobbelsteyn’s Special Care Home for keeping him happy and comfortable. He made many dear friends and lasting memories. A special thank you to Dr. Le and Dr. MacKinnon; Extra Mural Nurse Angela.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). A Funeral Service will take place from Bains Corner United Church on Saturday, January 21, 2023, beginning at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:30 – 2:00 PM. Reception to follow the service, in the church hall. Interment will follow in the Spring at Brown’s Cemetery in Bains Corner. Donations in memory of Jacques may be made to the Bains Corner United Church or to the Loch Lomond Village – No One Dies Alone program. No flowers at Jacques request. Jacques would appreciate anyone that wants to wear sports sweaters or jerseys to his funeral of any team or sport.
