Obituary of Dustin Joseph Wayne McGuire
UPDATED BURIAL INFORMATION
A graveside service will take place on Friday, January 27, 2023 at 1:30 PM in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery (1650 Manawagonish Road, West Saint John).
For those wanting to attend, please arrive at Brenan's by 1:00 PM on Friday to go in procession to the cemetery.
It is with broken hearts and great sadness that the family of Dustin McGuire of Saint John announce his untimely passing which occurred on Monday, January 16, 2023 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on July 24, 1992 in Saint John, he was the son of Michael McGuire and Sarah Bigford.
Dustin’s world revolved around caring for the needs of his children and his loved ones. A big teddy bear at heart, he will always be remembered for his kindness, generosity and for his love of hockey. Dustin was very respected amongst his friends and neighbourhood community and will be greatly missed.
Dustin will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Makaila Parlee; his children who were his world, Kaedence Parlee and Daxon Joseph McGuire; siblings, Jessica McGuire (Ryan Tabor) and Christopher Purdy; grandparents, Shirley McGuire, George Palmer and Geraldine Purdy (Wayne Bigford); aunts, Norma McGuire and Kathy Robar; niece, Emma McGuire; nephew, Nolan McGuire; several cousins; mother-in-law, Lori Pelletier; special friends, Donna Hartt, Odessa Parsons and Mama Terri; as well as many other close friends. Dustin was predeceased by his grandfather, Wayne McGuire.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) where visitation will take place on Friday, January 20, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A Funeral Liturgy will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 1:30 PM.
