Obituary of Irene Margaret Stafford
With heavy hearts, the family of Irene Margaret (Belyea) Stafford announce her passing on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at her residence in Rocmaura Nursing Home. Born February 13, 1958 in Saint John, she was a daughter of the late Clem and Agnes (Cairns) Belyea.
Irene’s greatest joy in life was her family, especially the grandchildren. She was bubbly with an easygoing personality, and always had a smile on her face. She was an excellent bowler and loved her dogs, who have both predeceased her.
Irene is survived by her loving husband of 17 years, Steve; children, Justin Spencely and Travis Cosman (Ayren); grandchildren: Makayla Cosman, Dustyn Stafford, and Shelby Cosman; sister, Donna Daly (Jim); brothers, Brian Belyea (Janet) and Albert Belyea (Monica); aunt, Betty Thorne (Phil); uncle, Jim Cairns (Millie); great-aunt, Jean Bell; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her niece, Britney Hanson.
Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424). In keeping with Irene’s wishes, a graveside service will take place on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 10:30 am in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. A reception will follow. For those who wish, remembrances to Parkinson Canada would be appreciated by the family. Please place online condolences and remembrances at www.BrenansFH.com.
