Our condolences Suzanne, Leslie and families. To us, Bruce was a friend, neighbour, and brother in Christ. We have fond memories of a kind-hearted, generous, gentle-man: Visiting over suppers with his favourite Maple Walnut ice cream to finish. Occasionally being treated to Chinese at his special restaurant. Fostering our boys’ interests in computing (Samuel with the Webster) and constructing (Daniel and model planes). Even later in life Bruce was eager to help on the farm wherever he could – haying, fencing, brushing. We each still have a collection of Hawaii shirts courtesy of Bruce:)
Bruce has obviously touched many lives with his long and fruitful life, and now at last he is again with his beloved Eunice.
Our thoughts and memories of Bruce will continue to be stirred on our little farm beside the lake. May happy memories encourage you.

Always and forever a dear and special friend - a true gentleman and one of a kind. He cared deeply for his friends and always made us feel special. I hold all the Hawaii memories and memories made at Thanksgiving at Carleton Place, close to my heart.

We were so sorry to hear of Bruce’s passing. We have many memories of him at Beckwith Baptist Church: playing the organ, cooking for the men’s breakfasts, heading up efforts to raise money for the cancer society. He and Eunice welcomed many of us into their lovely home on Mississippi Lake. He was greatly missed when he moved back to New Brunswick, but was faithful to keep in touch. We will miss hearing from him. He had a long, interesting and productive life.
May God comfort you in your loss.

Bruce Carter was a remarkable person, especially for us young air cadets at Simonds 527 Squadron in the 1950s. His flying skills were legendary and we could not have had a better role model. He was forceful, calm, and totally competent. After a long and remarkable life we salute him one last time. Thank you Bruce Carter, for your outstanding service.

I first met Bruce on the beach in Waikiki Hawaii many years ago. We exchanged addresses and emails and stayed in touch ever since. Bruce stopped coming to Hawaii after his 90th birthday and was missed by many, but we kept up our correspondence. It is so sad to hear of his passing. He e lived a good long life and I'm glad to have been a small part of it. Bruce was a gentleman's gentleman. May you rest in peace my friend.

It is hard to quantify in mere words the enormous positive impact Bruce had on my entire life - most especially in my formative years.
To this day my love for sailing, snorkeling, Hawaii, swimming and a good practical joke continue because of Bruce. I was very lucky to have him as a role model.
He will be missed by many.
Aloha Bruce

I have known Bruce for many years since I was a cadet with 527 Simonds Air Cadet Squadron in the early sixties. Years later I connected with S/L Bruce Carter when I was the Commanding Officer of 527 Sqn. and a member of 250 Saint John Wing of the RCAF Association, we became very good friends during this time and my wife Suzanne and I will miss him.

Our memories of Bruce and Eunice revolve around their cottage, later their home on Mississippi Lake. We along with their summer neighbours Barb and Moe Paget enjoyed sharing their joy in each other, Webster Cup, Eunice's passion for the next great recipe and Bruce's abiding kindness and willingness to help others and his community.
After losing Eunice his world fell apart but his move back to New Brunswick brought about a rebirth of his indomitable spirit. Knowing he was happy was worth our saying, "See you later."
When we did, on a trip east, we met him in his Miata at the Reversing Falls for a quick catch-up.
Through emails, cards and Facebook we followed his renewed zest for his life of service with pleasure.
We share everyone's loss from the Ottawa Valley. Stay strong.

Dear Leslie & Family,
It was quite a shock when we learned of your Dad’s passing, as only hours before he died he was emailing me about the Halifax aircraft project he was supporting. We send our heartfelt sympathies and condolences for your loss.
Bruce made Elizabeth and I very happy when he gave by me first chance to make an offer on his beloved Miata MX-5 convertible, after his doctor told him he could no longer drive. We had just retired and that little car still gives us great joy. We will always think of him and count our blessings when we’re in that fun vehicle.
I know that he was very proud to be the Reviewing Officer of the annual Remembrance Day Service at TD Station in 2019, before a crowd of over 6,500 people.
Bruce was a great example to many. A true gentleman and gentle man. Those of us involved with military events and commemoration ceremonies will miss him dearly.
Our caring thoughts and prayers are with you all as you reflect on his long life and list of accomplishments, as well as his contribution to his faith, family, his military service in two nations, New Zealand and Canada, and his work with so many organizations.
A final salute to you, Sir, with gratitude and thanks! R.I.P.

Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue
I’ve topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace.
Where never lark, or even eagle flew —
And, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
– Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.
Safe flight Bruce - going to miss you - thank-you for the memories which will last a lifetime.
