Obituary of Dave Richard

It is with heavy hearts the family of David (Joseph) Richard announce his sudden passing on Tuesday, February 14^th, 2023, at his residence in Saint John, NB.  Born in Pembroke, Ontario on September 5^th, 1955, David was the son of late Joseph Alexander Richard and Malvina Cornwall.

Dave enjoyed spending time with his grand kids, social events with many friends at Carleton place, calling his children multiple times a day and would never pass up a good game of cribbage. Dave worked for some time at Atlantic Home Improvement in his earlier years.  Never without his 2ltr of Pepsi. 

He will be dearly missed by children Lisa (Kyle), Erika (Justin) and Corey all of Saint John. Dear Grandchildren Noah, Ella, Malakai, Greyson and sweet Mila who he cherished every day.  Also survived by sisters Anne Alliston (Percy), Darlene Clarke (Danny) and Judy Hamilton (Randy), sister in law Susan Richard and several nieces and nephews. Dave will also be missed by dear friend and companion Jean Taylor. In addition to his parents, Dave was predeceased by brother Alex (Joseph) Richard.  

The Family would like to send a special thanks to the pharmacy at Jean Coutu and Dr. Lee for their care and compassion.

Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). With visitation on Friday, February 17, 2023, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM and 5:00 – 7:00 PM. A Funeral Liturgy will take place from The Brenan’s Chapel on Saturday, February 18, 2023, beginning at 2:00 PM. Interment will be held in St. Joseph’s Cemetery at a later date. Donations in memory of Dave may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick.
