Obituary of Thelma Maxine Garnett
Thelma Maxine Garnett (née Clark) passed peacefully with family in attendance, at Saint john Regional Hospital on Wednesday, February 22, 2023. Born in 1943, she was the daughter of the late John Thomas and Marjorie Rebecca Clark. Thelma was also predeceased by her siblings, Marie and Daisy.
Thelma, who was affectionately known as Mom to many, is survived by her daughters, Wilma Clinton (Lee Rapkoski); Amber Garnett (Wendell Cyr), and son James Thomas Garnett (Marilyn Paige), grandchildren, Mackenzie, Deven James, and James Thomas (J.T.).
Her life was devoted to her family, friends, and church. Thelma was well known for her generosity. She will be truly missed.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home (506-634-7424), 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, with Visitation on Sunday, February 26, 2023, from 6-8 PM. The Funeral Service will be held in the Brenan’s Chapel on Monday, February 27, 2023, at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place, at a later date in the Descendants of Thomas Garnett Sr. Cemetery in Garnett Settlement. Following the funeral, a celebration of life will be held at the Garnett Settlement Christian Church.
For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of NB, Canadian Cancer Society or Saint John Regional Hospital Palliative Care.
