Obituary of Yves Fernand Cliche
Cliche: Yves Fernand
Peacefully at home, with family by his side, Yves Fernand Cliche passed away on Friday, April 7th, 2023, at the age of 80. Born in Quebec on November 27th, 1942, to the late Arthur and Suzanne Cliche (nee Tardif).
Yves will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 54 years Ann (nee Cavan), and his daughters Lisa (Jason) MacRae, and Kim (Primus) Skumatz. Yves will be forever remembered by his grandchildren Joshua, Breann, and P.J., and his great grandchildren Miles and Brayden.
He is survived by his siblings Georges (Jocelyn) Cliche, Monique LaVertu, and Richard (Suzanne) Cliche, as well as by many nieces and nephews in Saint John and Quebec, and two sons, Steven and Terry Cliche, both of Ontario.
Yves was proud of his service in the Royal Canadian Navy, and his work as a carpenter and contractor. He enjoyed the adventures and memories that came coupled with travelling all over with his wife Ann, whom he always referred to as ‘his Angel.’ Yves held a deep appreciation for the outdoors, both fishing and camping often. Yves was a national lawn bowling champion, relished family card nights, and cherished Thursday date nights (for wings) with his Ann. He was the greatest dad ever!
Cremation has taken place. A private interment, alongside his late parents, will be held in the summer. Arrangements entrusted to Brenan’s Funeral Home (506-634-7424).
Donations in Yves’ memory may be made to the Bobby’s Hospice Foundation. Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.BrenansFH.com.
