Obituary of Dorothy Marie Robb

It is with full hearts from many wonderful memories made, that the family of Dorothy Marie Robb announce her passing on Easter Sunday surrounded by loved ones. Dorothy was a beautiful woman who lived an ordinary life with extraordinary strength, faith, and Love. Affectionately known as “Grandmother” to not only her family, but friends and neighbours alike, she devoted her life to quiet generosity, playful humour, and unconditional Love. From morning crosswords, marmalade toast, and a cup of tea, to watching nature unfold in her backyard, Dorothy took pleasure in all of the simple beauty around her. Her family feels privileged to have had her as an example for empathy, integrity, and resilience.

Beyond her family life, she served as an Administrator at the Saint John Regional Hospital Cancer Registry for nearly 40 years and was a lifelong parishioner of St. Peter’s Catholic Church.

Left to carry on her Love and kind spirit are her daughter and son-in-law Susan and Tom Higgins, grandchildren Cal Robb, Ellen Higgins (Josh Maher), Maggie Higgins (Oliver Logue) and her beloved great grandchildren Archie & Alvin Maher, and Leo Logue.

She is predeceased by her parents Louis & Beatrice (Rossiter) Walsh and Susan’s Father Patrick Robb.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Redeemer Parish, 316 Somerset Street, Saint John, on Saturday, April 15th, 2023, at 11am. Interment to follow in Saint Joseph’s Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Brenan’s Funeral Home (506-634-7424).

Memorial donations can be made to Romero House, Alzheimer Society of Canada, or a charity of donor’s choice. Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.BrenansFH.com.
