My sincere condolences to Bill's family on his passing. I first met Bill when he moved into the Ossekeag Place Senior's Apartments in Hampton and our friendship continued when he moved into his home in Hampton. I was glad to be able to help him out when needed and always enjoyed talking with him and learning about his interesting life over the years.

Dear cousins Sheryll, Glenda and Murray - And to all extended family- Including my mother Ruth E. Rugulies , Williams Sister of Edmonton, Alberta - I send my deepest condolences and love. I have so many fond memories of your dad and his wonderful sense of humour, which resonated with me. I can still hear his playful voice when he would tease or make a joke. I remember this one time when Uncle Billy and a bunch of us kids were driving into town from Red Head. It was a clear summer day in the late Seventies. We pulled up to a red light and William popped his front falsies out and flicked them up and down really fast while looking at the lady in the car beside us! She was wide eyed and startled! We were in hysterics! I still giggle whenever that visual crosses my mind. I love you Willie O Donovan - Love Linda McKeen & daughter Themesa McKeen - (Pictured is Themesa and her great Uncle Billy having a little nap! And relaxing on the couch.
A visit to Edmonton, Alberta in the mid 80's.) -

The first time I met Bill he was sitting in the right seat of his beautiful Red-On-White Cessna 150 waiting for me to take the left seat to commence a familiarization flight. A mutual friend had introduced us for the prospect of purchasing the plane from Bill. That was the beginning of a happy and proud time of my life as a half owner of the 150. It also developed into a kind of friendship that is unique to pilots. Many happy hours of flying and adventure were to follow with Bill, Murray and my co-owner as we 'tore up the skies' (LOL to say this), including one Sunday morning for a photo shoot of Bill and Murray's 172. A beautiful photograph of the 172 making a banked turn to the starboard exists somewhere. That photograph was taken through the lens of my Nikon from the right seat of the 150 being flown by my friend and co-owner. This space is not ample enough for my to carry on with my memories, so i will conclude by saying that Bill improved my skills as a pilot, he was generous and funny. I am sad to see him go, but proud that he lived to be 92. May your flight West, Bill, be beautiful and turbulence free.

Bill was one of the wonderful gentlemen who was part of the Saint John Flying Club family when I worked to get my pilots licence in 1973. We helped each other study for the exams and the flight test. He was so proud to be named Pilot Of The Year at the Wings Award in May of 1974. He was careful disciplined pilot who delighted in introducing other to the wonders of flight. Now he gets to 'Dance the skies on laughter-silvered wings'.

Love and memories to all. Uncle Billy had a quick and clever sense of humour, both physical and intellectual. He could pull off the best facial gyrations and always made the best of losing his lower leg as a younger man.
He could fix any vehicle, hunt and fish and fly with the best of them. He always remembered my birthday and I am so grateful for that. I stayed with him for a few nights in the summer of 2019. He shared many a good story and we had a very memorable time. I have always missed him living across the continent away, and now permanently. Good on you, Uncle Billy! 92 years is darned amazing. Love forever.

Glenda, Murray and Sheryl. I was so sorry to hear of the passing of your father. I have lots of good memories of your dad over the years. He was a good friend of my parents and would visit from time to time. I remember all the hockey games with the East West Suburban Hockey League. My father and brother were involved with that league as well so we went to all the games. I believe the Red Head team was called the Red Head Rebels. Thinking of you all at this difficult time.
