Obituary of Gladys Kennedy

Peacefully, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, on Tuesday, June 6^th, 2023, Gladys Kennedy (nee Price), passed away at the age of 86. Born in Belleisle Creek on February 20^th, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Dora Price (nee Lester). Beloved wife of the late John Mitton, and the late Richard Kennedy.

Gladys is survived by her daughter Charlotte Mitton, her twin sister Alice Vail, as well as by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A heartfelt thanks to Tom, Judy, Richard, and Amelia Kennedy for the love shown to Gladys through the years.

Beginning her career as a labourer, Gladys worked her way through the ranks at the sugar refinery to retire as supervisor of the melt house. In retirement, Gladys found a new passion, playing pool at the league level.

Visitation will be held at Brenan’s Funeral Home (506-634-7424), 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, on Sunday, June 11^th, 2023, from 2 to 5pm, where the Funeral Service will take place on Monday afternoon at 1pm. Interment to follow in Oceanview Memorial Gardens.
