From Ken Toong, husband of Pam
Though we are sad to see my father-in-law go, we are also privileged to have shared our lives with this gem of a man! He taught us so many things that we will pass on to the generations to come. His journey is an inspiration to our family and others whose lives he touched. Murray will forever rest in our hearts. We love you. Ken

So very sorry for your loss.
My husband, Don Moffatt, met Murray when he was transferred to the RCMP detachment in Westfield. He and Murray became great friends and had many adventures together. Murray even painted some pictures of their outings together. We both were so thankful and amazed at his talent.
Murray was so kind, caring and smart.
I am sure this is a very big loss for all of you. Just wanted to let you know that he made the world a better place.
My condolences to all.
Sincerely,
Janice Moffatt

I have known Murray over many years and shared many adventures with him as he taught both our daughters. As well I knew hm during his service as an RCMP Auxiliary Constable. He was a man of many talents.
We are fortunate to also have samples of his paintings, which are quite beautiful.
It is truly a loss, and he will be greatly missed.

Pam & Janice,
My sincere condolences on the passing of your father. Murray always had a smile, and he and your mother Florence were a wonderful team in love. I always had a great time when they hosted me at your house or sailing on the St. John River, great memories. He was a talented man, who loved his family, and his river. It was a pleasure to work with your Mom at the NB Museum.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of “Magic Murray”. He was one of the most memorable and kind humans I have ever come across. Growing up on the Saint John River, Magic Murray was always finding Hubba Bubba gum behind my ears, pulling ropes through his neck, and shooting his pirate canon from Cygnet at the crack of dawn. There was never a dull moment when he was around. I will always remember his kindness and wonderful smile.
My condolences to the family. Thinking of you all at this difficult time.

Oh Murray, you took me on my first skidoo ride in Quinten heights at the age of 3, tolerated the endless kids running through the back yard , but we knew to stay away from the boat. When I got to Barnhill and got into trouble there was no “get out of jail free card “, even though Janice and Pam had babysat me. You did the crime, you do the crime. That said there were no grudges and you always took a load of kids home in the back of your truck, regardless of what mischief we had done. I really enjoyed our boat chats at the marina these last few years. Gonna miss you Mr Whipple.

Pam & family.....saddened to learn of Murrays passing .We first met at Stan Arthurs beach in the early seventies. There was a few log booms moored there that served as crude docks. I can remember your dad would go out to the log boom piers to step the mast on the thunderbird. His (and your) visits will be missed as he always had a great interest in what was going on around the waterways.

Condolences From Cindy VE9CDL, and Myself VE9SY. Murray was a person that you warmed up to quickly. His sense of humour, his quick wt and his laugh made him easy to like. He help me when I took my radio course (and the rest of our class). He was always a great story teller when he got on a roll at burger King with othe hams every Saturday for years. Sometimes we Could not tell if he was pulling our legs. When My wife got her licence, he made he welcome and I don't remember him not smiling. He will be missed. 73 my friend.
