Obituary of May Delilah Goguen

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of May “Babe” Delilah Goguen at Turnbull Nursing Home on Friday, July 7, 2023.  Born 1930, in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Pearl Lorette. She was predeceased by her husband, Armand Goguen.

May “Babe” is survived by her sons Glen Goguen (Carol) and Terry Goguen (Brenda) as well as daughter Gina Goguen. Babe had many beloved grandchildren... Jamie, Jeremy, Ryan, Gina, Steve, Robin, Jodi, Angie and Gary Jr. Along with great-grandchildren Brittany, Micheal, Sophia, Ashley, Brayden, Tyler, Zeth, Zachary and Madison

She was predeceased by sons Gary and (infant) Richard Goguen.

May “Babe” loved to take care of her family and always had a place for anyone. She loved to knit and crochet as well as shop, of course.

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses and staff at Turnbull Nursing Home for their kindness and compassion during this time as well as the great care she had been receiving there for the last few years.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424). In keeping with May’s wishes there will be a Mass of Christian Burial from Stella Maris Catholic Church, on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, beginning at 10:00 AM. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in St Joseph’s Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the SPCA.
