My profound condolences. Soupy, Rest in Peace, you certainly went out on your own terms, a lesson for many of us to live a full life. You will be missed and thought of often! Until we meet again, save me a seat in the Mess and keep things ship shape up there!! John, Laura and family, may you take comfort knowing we share in your loss and strength from our prayers.
Sincerely,
Paul D Smith CPO (Ret'd)

We were saddened to learn of the passing of John ( I remember him as Johnny) from childhood days. I was impressed by the courage and clarity John took in writing his own obituary. To the family we offer our condolences. May fond memories provide strength and peace in the days and years to come. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Sincerely,
Loretta and David Soucy

You will be missed, although we only knew John in his last years I will be forever greatful for his friendship, support and his wonderful dinner parties. However most of all I must remain eternally greatful for the friendship and opportunities he showed my wife as she worked briefly as part of his care team, a truly great and honorable man who will always remain in our hearts and minds
