Obituary of Bruce Fenwick Boyle
It is with heavy hearts the family of Bruce Fenwick Boyle announce his passing peacefully at home on August 6, 2023.
Born on May 10, 1942, in Saint John to the late Emma Gertrude (Montford) and George Fenwick Phair Boyle.
Bruce was a graduate of Saint John High School where he excelled in academics and sports, especially hockey, a sport he loved.
He obtained his Chartered Accountant Degree in 1966. From 1967 to 2015 Bruce was Secretary-Treasurer, a Shareholder and Director of Fundy Ventilation group of companies.
He was Chairman of N.B. Metal Trust Fund from 1971 to 2008. Treasurer of Gyro Saint John for over 10 years, Treasurer of the Saint John Construction Assoc. for a time.
Bruce cherished the memories of his time spent with life-long friends; whether in the great outdoors or playing poker with his pals for over 40 years.
He was an avid woodworker who could build anything including his cottage overlooking the Bellisle.
Predeceased by his first wife J. Lynn, Bruce is survived by his loving wife JoAnn (Gomar), his ex-wife Linda M. Boyle, his children Douglas, Quispamsis, David (Melissa) Rothesay, Carter (Maddie), Fredericton, Turner, London, Ont. and four much-loved grandchildren Jacob, Gracie, Gemma and Desiray. His brothers Brian (Loretta), Barry (Darlene) and his nephews Alex, Kyle, Brent and Blane.
Our family will be forever grateful to Dr. Bewick and his Cardiac Clinic and all the team in the Dialysis Unit.
Arrangements are under the care of Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424). We invite family and friends to join us in a Celebration of Life gathering at Riverside Golf & Country Club in Rothesay, NB on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.
