Just saying the other day, I miss running into Vernon and Ethel. We regularly had some brief but fun chats about the dogs or the world situation when we crossed paths in the neighbourhood or at the Market. He was funny, gregarious, grumpy, curious, kind and the world is worse off without him, and Ethel. I still have the anniversary b&w photo he gave me. It was lovely to see the photos, to see he lived such a full life beyond the little I knew of him. Very sorry for your loss.

So sad to hear about Verns passing. He use to frequent the city market where I work. He would always say ‘red head gingerbread 5 cents a loaf’ And it made me laugh everytime. Have missed seeing/hearing him the past few years. My heart goes out the family. He will be remembered fondly.

To Vern's family, Bigger than life, I thoroughly enjoyed our chats many of which were outside normal working hours at NBTel. A great Leaf fan and sometimes a thorn in the side of K V Cox (said with a smile). Vern was a delight to engage in conversation and we could both get in our points of view and have fun doing so. To All the Hunt Families, I was very saddened to read about Vernon. I knew him from St Pius X days & then meeting him again at Turnbull Nursing Home. He loved music, singing & I would play piano while he knew all the songs, words & great voice. I will miss him there. Thinking of all of you today & in the difficult days ahead. Dear family of Vernon, I had known your Dad it seems, all my life. He worked at my family's store, Scovil Bros. (Oak Hall) for decades and once the store closed and your Dad retired, I would see him often when he was out for walks. Vern was the kindest man and always had great stories and memories to share.
