Obituary of Sachin Yadav P. Eng.

Pride of my Life has left me gone, A face and presence from our household is gone, A chair is vacant in our home which never can be filled.

Sachin Yadav, P. Eng., beloved husband of Raakhee Yadav, passed away peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Tuesday, September 12, 2023.  Sachin was born in India on May 21, 1974.

Sachin had two prides and joys in his life, the first being his daughter, Suhaani, whom he adored and was proud of, and the second being his profession and achievements as an engineer.  Sachin was extremely proud of his education, in which he received his Master of Engineering degree from the University of Illinois.  Upon receiving his degree, Sachin earned the distinction as a Professional Engineer in multiple Canadian provinces, where he was honoured to work on many great Canadian projects, such as being a respected and valuable engineer with the Public Works Government Department of Newfoundland, Parks Canada Agency Lake Superior, Nipigon-Ontario, Rouge National Urban Park, Toronto-Ontario & Department of National Defense’s Suffield Base, Alberta and most recently as an Engineer - Project Manager with Public Service and Procurement Canada, in Saint John, New Brunswick.  Sachin was smart and his work ethic was second to none.  He immigrated to Canada in 2001 and he was extremely proud when he became a citizen of a country that provided him with so many opportunities and a country where he worked hard to give back.  Sachin took joy in the small and simple things that life offered, such as his love for food (especially his wife’s fabulous cooking), travel and of course his love for Simba, his canine companion who was introduced into his life at the age of 45.  He will be greatly and sadly missed.

In addition to his wife, Raakhee, he is survived by his precious daughter, Suhaani Yadav, as well as many extended family members.
