Obituary of Jeannette Marie Cail
Cail, Jeannette Marie (Sonier)-
Jeannette Marie (Sonier) Cail passed away peacefully in the presence of her loved ones on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born May 12, 1949, in Tracadie, NB, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Laura (Dignard) Sonier.
Jeannette retired from Loch Lomond Villa, her place of work for 37 years. She raised her children with love and discipline and has left them with a lifetime of cherished memories. She had a great sense of humour, and her friends were like sisters to her. She was well-respected and loved by all who knew her. Jeannette told it like it was and didn’t do anything she didn’t want to. She enjoyed spending the past 9 of her life with Ron Dennis, her beloved partner and best friend. Time stood still when they were together. They enjoyed gardening, completing various building projects, and travelling, especially loving their time in Yuma, AZ.
In addition to Ron, Jeannette is survived by her children: Leonard, Marie (Todd), and Jeff (Hali); grandchildren: Alex, Kristofer, Amy, Pagen, Savana, Emmie, Marisa, and Shelby; great-grandchildren: Hailey and Allister; brother, Gilles Saulnier (Jeannine); her dog, Scooter; and several nieces and nephews.
Jeannette was predeceased by her husband, Raymond; her sister, Zita; brothers, Jean Guy and Denis; and her grandson, Zachery.
Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424). A private interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Family and friends are invited to stop in and celebrate Jeannette’s life at a reception at Milford Memorial Centre, 248 Milford Road, on Friday, September 15, 2023, from 4 to 7 pm. For those who wish, remembrances to Saint John SPCA- Animal Rescue would be appreciated by the family
