Mary always was smiling. That's how I picture her. Visiting her around the corner from our Nana was always a highlight of our visits to Saint John. Mary had the warmest laugh. I am so sorry to hear of Mary's passing. It was such a celebration of her life in July when she passed the 100 year mark, something not many of us achieve. She was the oldest member of our family that I can find on our family record. I am sure she was the last survivor born and brought up so many years ago in Wine River (Upper Bay Du Vin) Northumberland County. My sincere condolences to Clinton, Donna and Joe, Patrricia and Barry, Darlene and to her grand children.

My sincerest condolences Pat, Donna, Darlene and Clint and to all the grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was so loving and proud of each and every one of you. My fondest memory is of strawberry pie, I had never heard of it or had any. When visiting, way back on Highland Rd, dear sweet Mary brought us a strawberry pie, the most delicious thing I had ever eaten. After that when she knew Barry’s sister was coming there would always be strawberry pie! I will never forget her, she was the sweetest, kindest person I had ever met and I looked forward to seeing her on my visits. Cherish the memories you have of her; she will always be in your hearts and watching over you. Rest in peace Mary, you are flying with the angels now.

Mary was truly one of a kind. Her warmth, her kindness and her wonderful laugh are memories that I will always hold. She took in the Hachry kids as her own whenever we visited Saint John. She would take us swimming at the Colonial Inn, let us raid her pantry and was always up for a gene of cards. Visiting Delhi street was always a special treat - because of Mary. We hope the long, blessed life she led provides some comfort to her children, grandchildren and everyone who she touched.
