Pat changed my life....25 years ago she introduced me Choice Theory and I applied those learnings raising my children, connecting with people, applying lead management at work....her legacy lives on within me and my children who are 21 and 24 now and they have grown to become young men strong of mind, body, and spirit....Pat's teachings and support and choice theory were a big part of getting us all to where we are today. God bless all who love and miss her. Lisa Brookins Parker

Dear Pat,
You helped me get through my parents divorce when I was 16 and helped me get the mental tools I needed to have a healthy relationship and find the right person. Thanks to you, I have that person and am already married with a kid on the way!
Enjoy your next journey,
Tyler <3

I am saddened to hear of Pat's death. I regarded her to be a very wise professional mentor, who shared her wisdom and spirit for life with me, through our professional relationship, and I had occasion to reconnect with her just prior to the Holidays. Pat acted as my supervisor and mentor, with such professional grace, and I am so grateful that our paths crossed. Like so many others, Pat left her imprint on me, and I am a better professional helper because of her. My thoughts are with Pat's family and friends as her life is celebrated and her loss honoured.

To the family of Pat Donihee,
I am so grateful for the gift of knowing Pat for nearly 40 years. She was my hiring manager while I worked as a summer student for the Canada Games in 1984-1985, empowering each of her small group of four students (Dan, Kim, Vicky and Cindy). She was a great role model and mentor, as a female leader among mostly men. Pat fully occupied her seat at the table, treating everyone with dignity and respect. I have enjoyed our interactions through business and social gatherings over the years, always with a story and hug. What a beautiful soul.

To Pat's family,
I have known Pat on a professional basis for many years now... both of us being on the founding board for the College of Licensed Therapists. I always loved Pat for the force of nature she was! No one can forget Pat! Her presence was generous, compassionate, dedicated, and driven. I had great respect for her intelligence and experience, and she always found ways to make me feel special somehow. She has touched many lives and will be forever remembered.

Dear Don & family,
It was a great shock to read about Pat’s demise. She was officially my supervisor but unofficially a mother to me. She taught me a lot about compassion and dedication . I really can’t believe I am writing about her in the past tense. My heart is broken and I am so confused. Please accept my condolences. May her soul rest in perfect peace.

Dear Family Members,
I met Pat during a conference held by the Canadian Association for Reality Therapy [CART], now known as Glasser Canada. I found Pat to be loving, generous, and sociable in accepting my friendship. Pat was a beautiful person not only from the outside but also from within. She was generous with her time and was always respectful of others. We worked together, planned together, and had great fun. Pat and Ken were always gracious during my visits which meant jokes and lots of laughter, especially if Lil and Annie were with us. It was always a 'must' for us to take time to catch up at Glasser conferences and retreats. I applauded Pat for working through a Mediation Program which incorporated several of Doctor Glasser concepts. She loved her community and was always willing to take time to share sites with us and she knew the history better than any guide. I loved her and kept in touch over the years, checking out how we could get together once more; however, this plan did not come to pass. I pray for the family's acceptance and trust that the pain of loss, at this time, shall emerge into only happy memories as time goes by. I shall miss Pat, her smile, her knowledge, creativity, and her laughter.
With my love,
Jean Seville Suffield, DNM

Pat was indeed a special lady. She had the ability to speak to friends and casual acquaintances with a directness and sincerity that I found unusual and engaging. She fiercely loved Ken and her family. I also heard that she greatly helped many of her patients. I enjoyed every encounter I ever had with Pat and I liked her very much. My husband Vince and I met her when she first came to Saint John through Ken.

On behalf of myself and Glasser Canada, I am expressing my heartfelt condolences to all the family. Over the years I have spent many hours that would probably accumulate to years if I really counted the times.
She spearheaded the drive to have the College of Counselling Therapists started in New Brunswick and she stuck with it over 25 years until it came to frution. She served on the first board of the College. She will be hugely missed by this group.
As a member of Glasser Canada and William Glasser International, Pat was passionate about teaching Choice Theory, Reality Therapy and applying it to her own life. Many people from around the world are expressing their condolences with loving memories of Pat. Again as President of Glasser Canada and as a friend and colleague of Pat, I am expressed our heartfelt condolences ot all the family.
Love and hugs

My deepest condolences to Pat's family and all those connected to Pat in any way. I know her love for family was very deep, as was her love for humanity. Patricia was an inspiration, a leader, a pioneer, a loving force; and she touched and positively changed the lives of more people than I can count. She was an ethical professional and volunteer, a loving wife, a caring mother, grandmother and great - grandmother, and an avid critical friend, and my world was so enriched by our time in shared work, travel and friendship. May she rest in peace.
