Obituary of Thelma Fay Branscombe
BRANSCOMBE, Thelma Fay
December 27, 1939 - December 31, 2023
The family of Thelma Branscombe is saddened to announce her passing which occurred on December 31, 2023, at the Saint John Regional Hospital in her 84th year. Born to Elmer and Gladys (Nee Collins) Branscombe in Cumberland Bay; she eventually became a lifelong resident of the Stephenson Tower Residence.
Thelma is survived by her children Basil Branscombe (Susan), Sherry Branscombe, Kevin Branscombe (Kimberly), Everett, Wayne (Tania); her sister Elsie Duplessis of Saint John; her brother Donald Smith of Hamstead, England; her sister-in-law Elizabeth Byers (Mike); several grandchildren including a special mention to her eldest great grandchildren Kyle and Maria for all of their help throughout her life; great great-grandchild Harden (5th generation); and many extended family members and friends.
Thelma was a devoted mother, loved by many friends—especially Maria Woods—and family. She was also a breast and thyroid cancer warrior.
Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424). A visitation will be held at Brenan’s Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 3, 2023, from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
