Obituary of Richard William Murray

It is with great sadness that the family of Richard William Murray announces his passing which occurred on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Peterborough, Ontario, he was a son of the late Jack and Marion Murray.

Rick loved his sports, in his younger years he was a super pitcher with the Saint John Alpines and Carleton Squires, along with this he was a pretty good dart shooter. Rick was a longtime member of the Adanac Club. 

Rick leaves behind his wife, Sue; sons, Geoffrey, Darren (Sue); daughter, Heather (Chris); grandsons, Cole, Oliver, Benjamin; sisters, Margaret and Linda; sister-in-law, Jan; brother-in-law, Ed; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Robert and John (Buck); sisters, Bonnie, Laura, Marilyn, Joan; brother-in-law, Jim.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (506-634-7424). In keeping with Rick’s wishes, there will be no services. Donations may be made to Bobby’s Hospice.
