Obituary of Wanda Ethel Roche
It is with great sadness that the family and community of Wanda Ethel Roche announce her passing on February 13th, 2024, in Saint John, New Brunswick. Wanda was born in Fredericton, New Brunswick on August 17th, 1952, to the late Clarence and Josephine Roche.
Wanda lived a life of service. Her never-ending service to her family, church and community has been a testimony to many. She had a love and laugh that brightened every situation but especially when she was with or spoke of her grandchildren. Her sense of fashion was always topped with a very well matched hat. Her commitment to volunteering in the community has included organizations such North End Food Bank, PRUDE Inc, Women’s Association for Black Community, Cresent Valley Community Tenants Association, and the Cresent Valley Resource Center. Wanda also loved her birds; mainly cardinals and had them proudly displayed everywhere.
Wanda will be deeply missed by her children: Jules, Maurice (Reece), Shaunda Melisa and Eleana; grandchildren: Kendra, Tristan, Julian, Paige, Keiran, Jo, D’Andre, Niemna, Jayshawn, Jayce, and Ty-Neisha; sisters: Edith (Rosie), Charlene and Dianne; Brother: Chris; many nieces, nephews, and friends like Eva Feddery.
Besides her parents Wanda was predeceased by sisters: Carol Ann and Ellen and nephews Earnest (Tiny) and Jimmy.
