Celebration of Life
Obituary of Carol Anne Specht
With heavy hearts, the family of Carol Anne (Hatty) Specht announces her passing on February 24, 2024, at Kings Way Care Center with her husband Walter by her side. Born June 22, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Stella (White) Hatty and the late Gerald (Guy) Jerome Hatty.
Carol had a kind and loving soul, always there to help those (humans and animals) who needed a helping hand or a place to stay. While raising her family of 7 children she worked as a consultant with Tupperware, Watkins and a long career with Avon finishing as a District Manager. She enjoyed painting in her retirement, visits to Germany to see Walter's family and seeing the kids and grandkids across Canada. She lives on in the memories and stories we share and will always be with us in our hearts.
Carol is survived by her beloved husband, Walter Specht: daughter, Christa Lafontaine (Patrick): sons; Skip Specht (Michelle Snow), Derek Specht (Siobhan), Anthony Specht, Jay Specht (Tara), and Jeffrey Specht; and sisters, Diane Specht, Gail Hatty; grandchildren: Rachael, Kathleen, Rebecca, Mitchell, Matthew, Alysia, Dustin, Jacob, Stella, Beckett, Ciarán, Ronan, Ryan and Eli; great grandchildren: Dane and Lily; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents Carol was predeceased by her siblings Brenda Hatty, Lawrence Hatty, and her son, Philip Specht. Everything she lost, she now has back.
