Obituary of Paul Edward Chamberlain
CHAMBERLAIN, Paul Edward
It is with profound sadness that the family of Paul Chamberlain announces his passing which occurred on March 13, 2024, in his 75th year, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on September 18, 1948, in Saint John, New Brunswick, to the late Clarence “Jim” and Bernice Chamberlain.
Paul will be immensely missed by his children Sean (Tina) Chamberlain, Chris Chamberlain, and daughter-in-law Beverly Thibodeau; siblings Doug Chamberlain, Norma Mullett, and Brian Chamberlain; grandchildren Ethan, Isis, Anaiya, Marissa, Persia, Jace, and Odysseus; great-grandchildren Kanan, Lincoln, and Ryker. He was predeceased by his parents; sister Nancy Adams; brother Keith Chamberlain; and previous wife Joanne Edwards.
Anyone who knew Paul knew how hard he worked over his lifetime. He started his journey working as the manager at Shoppers West, which eventually led to him owning his own convenience store in the south end called Mr. C’s. He ended his career owning the “store” on Douglas Avenue.
After retiring he spent his days admiring landscape, driving around all day every day, but most importantly he just loved spending time with his sons and grandkids. He was truly the most kind-hearted man and if anyone needed anything he was always the guy to call because he could never say no.
Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424). Visitation will be held at Brenan’s on Monday, March 18, 2024, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, with a funeral service to follow in Brenan’s Chapel at 1:00 PM.
Donations in memory of Paul would be greatly appreciated to Diabetes Canada, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Online condolences may be shared at www.brenansfh.com.
