Obituary of Gary James Cosman

The death of Gary James Cosman of Saint John, NB, occurred on Friday, January 19, 2024, at his winter residence in Largo, Florida. Born in Saint John, NB on July 27, 1938, Gary was the son of the late Robert Wesley Cosman and May Ella (Clark) Cosman. 

Gary was an avid car enthusiast with a passion for golf and lawn bowling.  He graduated from Saint John High School and had a long career with the Irving Oil Refinery. 

Gary was predeceased by his wife Joan (Thompson) Cosman and sister Ruth Askeland.  At the time of passing, Gary was survived by his brothers Berton Cosman (Rothesay) and Donald Cosman (Ottawa) as well as several nieces, nephews, and close friends.  

A celebration of Gary’s Life will be held at a later date with interment at Fernhill Cemetery. In remembrance of Gary, donations to a charity of the donor's choice are appreciated by the family.
