Obituary of Jeffrey Joseph Lowney
It is with broken hearts that the family of Jeffrey “Jeff” Joseph Lowney announce his passing after a lengthy illness at the Saint John Regional Hospital surrounded by his family on Friday, April 5, 2024.
Jeff was born on February 19, 1976 in Halifax, NS. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Fox (Michael); father, Mark Lowney (Andrea); brother, Anthony; sister, Mya (Andrew); step-sister, Sara Sullivan; step-brother, Matthew Sullivan (Natalie) and nephew, Seth Toth. Jeff is also survived by his grandparents, Albert Lowney and Marilyn Craft; uncles, Jim Craft, Kevin Lowney (Joan) and several aunts and cousins.
Jeff worked several years for Cook’s Aquaculture before becoming a Red Seal Pipefitter.
Jeff enjoyed fishing and hunting rabbits with his father. He had a heart of gold and a great sense of humour and loved spending time with his many lifelong friends. A special thank you to Jeff’s good friend, Darren McNamee and to the numerous other friends who have offered their support and friendship to Jeff over the years. He will be sadly missed.
The family would like to thank Dr. Luan Le and Dr. Emily Love for their exceptional care.
In keeping with the family’s wishes, there will be no visitation. However, relatives and friends are welcome to attend the graveside service which will take place on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at 3:00 PM in St. Joseph's Cemetery (327 Westmorland Road, Saint John).
