Obituary of Wesley "Buzz" Cecil Morrell
The family of Wesley “Buzz” Cecil Morrell announces his passing which occurred on Sunday, April 7, 2024 at the Saint John Regional Hospital with his family by his side. Born on December 14, 1950 in Sussex, he was the son of the late Emery and Georgie (Northrup) Morrell and the loving husband of Betty Ann (Grant) Morrell of Saint John.
Besides his wife, Betty, he is survived by a daughter, Rosemary Payne of Saint John and a son, Michael of Moncton. Buzz is also survived by his sisters, Roena Morrell of Sussex Corner, Sharon (Dave) Macleod of Sussex, Carol Otis of Norton, Jean Randall of Ottawa and Helen Armstrong of Saint John and brothers, Weyman Morrell of Sussex and Murray Morrell of Saint John. He is also survived by 3 step-children, Anthony, Ricky and Christine; 2 grandchildren and 10 step-grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424) and as per the family’s wishes, there will be no funeral service or visitation held.
Donations can be made to St. John and St. Stephen Nursing Home or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
