Obituary of Eileen Dianne Foss

It is with great sadness that the family of Eileen (Earle) Foss announce her passing on Sunday, April 14, 2024, at her residence in Rocmaura Nursing Home. Born in Saint John, NB, on May 23, 1947, she was a daughter of the late Alma (Paulin) and Willard Earle.

Eileen was an avid reader, with true crime being her genre of choice. She and her husband enjoyed gardening and took great pride in maintaining their home. She was usually seen in her rocking chair, with her beloved Coca-Cola and plain Lays chips. More than likely, she would have on her favourite robe.

Eileen is survived by her children: Joseph Foss (Shelley), Dennis Foss (Jill), Andrew Marr, and Leslie Foss; grandchildren: Jackson, Ria, Rowan, and Melissa; niece, Elaine O’Brien; her sister, Cecelia MacEachern; as well as several other extended family members and friends.

Besides her beloved husband, Earl, who predeceased her in 2013, Eileen was predeceased by her parents; daughter, Marlo Foss; and her grandson, Dr. Matthew Foss.

Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424). In keeping with the family’s wishes, there will be no funeral services at this time. For those who wish, remembrances to the IWK Children’s Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
