Please accept my profound condolences at this time. Jack and I worked together in the Canadian Corps of The Commissionaires'. We enjoyed swapping tales of our time in the service. He was always a pleasure to chat with and always departing with a laugh! Rest easy Soldier. May you take comfort knowing we share in your loss and strength from our prayers.

John was so dedicated to his family and to being kind and helpful to everyone. He was so full of fascinating stories and interesting and useful information that I have no doubt that he left every person he ever met with some more information or additional skill that they did not have before they came into contact with him. That is a gift and the treasure. My deepest condolences to all of the family

Cathy and Family - as next door neighbours to such an outgoing family, we have been so lucky to share in the delights of your grandchildren, puppies, gardens, visits and backyard conversations. John was such a big part of it with stories of the places he had been and the things he had seen; and there was always a laugh somewhere in the telling. Going out on our deck and not seeing John out in his deck chair, computer poised on his lap, with a wave of acknowledgement, is going to bring sadness for some time to come. But he left all of you, and us, with some great memories.
