The family of Carol Fitzpatrick sadly announce her passing, which occurred on Thursday May 02, 2024 at the Shannex. Carol was born on November 04, 1945 in Saint John. She was the daughter of the late Alphonse and Elizabeth Hebert (Jean), and wife to the late Hugh Fitzpatrick.
Carol will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her children Harry, Elizabeth (Jeff) and Janice, grandchildren Tanner, Raven, Myles, Luna and Aengus, great-grandchildren Jessa and Kash, siblings Alphonse (Jeanine), Raymond (Diane), Rita (Philip) and Merle (Sue), special niece Guillaine, many nieces and nephews, as well as special friends Nancy and Barb who were always there for her. Carol was predeceased by her parents, sisters Cecile and Jeandarc, and by her son-in-law Dino.
Carol’s family would like to thank the staff of the Shannex for always going above and beyond, especially in her final moments, and to give special thanks to Rev. Anne Fairweather for providing comfort and support to her family in the end.
Taken from Carol’s journal…
“At all life’s banquet to success, I may not be the guest of honor, but I will be present.”
Anyone who knew Carol would know that not only would she have been the guest of honor, but that she would have been seated at the head of the table. She left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Carol was a spirited soul, with a passion for life. Mourn not her passing, but toast to her life.
Visitation will be held at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424) on Monday, May 06, 2024 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. A celebration of Carol’s life will take place at Brenan’s Chapel on Tuesday May 07, 2024 at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
