Obituary of Frank Edward McKeown

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Frank Edward McKeown announce his unexpected passing which occurred at this home on May 3rd, 2024.  Born March 28th, 1961, in Saint John, to the late Robert and Ellen (Munn) McKeown.  Many would say he lived fast and furious in his younger years.  He had a smirk that could get him into trouble but could also get him out of trouble just as quick.  He was dedicated to his profession, with 23 hardworking years of service with the Carpenter’s Local 1386.  He lived life the way he wanted until the end and was always up for good time, never sticking around for a long time.

Frank will be profoundly missed by his children, Katie (Michael) Clarke, Jessica (Charles) Paul, Sarah McKeown and Nathan Morgan; grandchildren, Ariona, CJ, Alex, Lily, Jakob, Owen, Mckayla, Meredith and Nora; siblings, Wardie (Marieanne) McKeown, Billy (Sherry) McKeown, Patsy (Jamie) McKeown, Cidy (Crystal) McKeown; as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and very close friends.  Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Percy (Cathy) McKeown and Danny (Brenda (McKeown).

While we lost our beloved dad, many have lost a friend and a loved one in him.  He had a heart of gold underneath his “try to be tough” exterior.  Stubborn at the best of times and once you were loved by him, he would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it.  Family and friends hold many stories of him, that we can be privileged to share with one another now that he is finally at rest.

A graveside service will take place in Astle Community Cemetery, 5473 Route 8, Aslte on Friday, May 24th at 11:00 AM.  Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Siant John (506-634-7424).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Frank’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Society of NB.
